Results Week of 25th February

U18 girls had a win at home to Glanmire, in the Arena on Monday night.

U16 girls had a great win at home to Glanmire, on Monday night. The girls were away on Sunday afternoon, to a well drilled and executing Wildcats side. Some brilliant ball movement by Mathews in the first half, forced Waterford to change up their defense. Waterford's execution of outside shots created the gap, that Mathews could not bring back. Despite the result, it was a brilliant display by the Mathews team, possibly one of the best team performances all year!

U14 girls lost out to Brunell on Thursday evening in Parochial Hall. With the league already run, it was important that all girls got valuble court time on the night.

The girls were back in action on Saturday night against Limerick Celtics in Parochial Hall. Mathews lost out by 4, in what was a tough, physical game. We wish Rachel Bowdren a speedy recovery, after a heavy fall in the final quarter of the game.

The U13 girls won at home to Crosshaven, on Saturday morning. It was a fast paced game from the off, and Crosshaven made the girls work very hard, especially on defense. A strong 3rd quarter by the Mathews girls, ensured victory. Great effort, well done girls.

U14B girls had a long trip to St Colm's, on Saturday evening. The girls lost out, to a strong Limerick team.

U15 girls lost out away to Cobh, on Saturday evening.

U12 girls were away to Ballincollig, on Sunday morning. Mathews came out very strong in the first quarter of the game, to secure a substantial lead and unfortunately lost it down the stretch, to a very good Ballincollig team. Great effort by both teams.
